About Us

The Village Panchayat of Kirlapal-Dabal is situated in Dharbandora Taluka of South Goa District. It has  population of 6307, with 1732 males and 1742 female population with SC population 56 ,S.T population 2030, O.B.C population 2235 and General 488 (approximate).The Panchayat consists of 9 wards and has 9 elected representatives.  (Male 06, Female 03). There are 1689 households .

The Panchayat has 11primary schools, there are 12 AWC, there are 2 SHC centre. The distance between the SHC and the Panchayat is 5 Km, the distance between the main hospital and the Panchayat is 15 Kms. The major source of income for the Panchayat is the house tax, fees, and grant –in- aid and other grants.

Village development committee along with panch members and prominent locals were engaged in the process of Gram Panchayat Development Plan.

Action plan was prepared and accordingly activities were proposed towards completing the effecting Gram Panchayat Development Plan and responsibilities were given to each and every VDC member. Action Plan towards preparing GPDP was started from 25th September 2019.

Prabhat ferries were conducted to make people aware of Gram Panchayat Development Plan and to participate in this activity and Gramsabha for Generating best Gram Panchayat Development Plan. Department were called upon to discuss the schemes and development of village and rightly supported by all departments.

On 2nd October 2019Panchayat and VDC informed villagers to participate in GPDP, accordingly people started enlisting the development works. After all the exercise Finally the Draft GPDP of Village Panchayat Kirlapal-Dabal was Placed before the VDC meeting, then in the Fortnightly meeting of the Panchayat and then in the Special Gram sabha on 19th December 2019 and accordingly GPDP was approved in all the meetings.
